Marius Girard was born in Reims, France, after the mid-1920s.

Girard was famous for his impressionistic paintings of Paris. It has an extraordinary talent with colour. Some of his paintings are reproduced for prints and postcards. He is one of the most reproduced artists in the world. 
Girard made 135 watercolour paintings for the hall rooms of the Hilton Hotel in Paris.
