The purely manually operated DP-790 has an especially cool appearance and was very popular in the seventies and eighties among disc-jockeys and audiophiles.

The mechanism runs quietly and precisely.
The tonearm with interchangeable headshell makes it easy to vary with different cartridges.

This is a Japanese (120 volt) edition which is rare in Japanese in immaculate Sen wood which sometimes is mistakenly called Japanese ash or elm.
A 45 watt (which is generous) inverter to adjust the player to the European mains is included and has a net filter function as a side affect which keeps out high frequency interferences.

The record player is packaged following all art regulations (boxed twice), and shipped worldwide.
Which means: the platter and counterweight are separately packed underneath the turntable, the arm is secured, the dust cover is filled with soft material and secured.
