Vintage National (Panasonic) R-1019 portable transistor radio from the Showa period (1970s), made in Japan. This compact AM radio features a distinctive bright red plastic body and a classic analog tuning display marked “AM x10kHz.”

The design reflects the characteristic aesthetics of mid-century Japanese consumer electronics, combining functionality with bold color styling. The unit includes its original hand strap, enhancing portability and usability.

Operation has been confirmed, and the radio receives AM broadcasts properly. The interior components appear clean and well-preserved, indicating careful use over time. Externally, it remains in good condition with only light signs of age.

A charming and collectible example of vintage Japanese transistor radio design, ideal for collectors of retro electronics or Showa-era memorabilia.
