Beautiful work by the successful painter Willem George Frederik Jansen. In all his work, you can see that he was a great admirer of the painters of the Hague School. 

WGF Jansen was an extremely capable painter with a very recognisable, individual style. Characteristic is his smooth and striking brushwork and his sense of colour nuances. In this painting, both are easily recognisable.

Jansen's oeuvre mainly includes landscapes: river views, forest landscapes, beach views and cityscapes.

The work of WGF Jansen is included in various museum collections, including the Singer museum of Laren, the municipal museum in Harlingen, the Zuiderzee museum in Enkhuizen, and numerous smaller museums.

Similar work is currently being offered by Simonis & Buunk, among others.
