Magnificent, delicate coloured engraving of a lying fawn by the German artist Kurt Meyer-Eberhardt, number 10 from a series of 50.
Signature bottom right in pencil

Etching on paper, original signature with pencil by the artist Kurt MEYER-EBERHARDT. The sheet size of the etching is 29.5 cm x 35 cm, in the plate print 27 cm x 32 cm. Sheet in quite good condition with some minor discolouration.
Artist Biography
Kurt Meyer-Eberhardt was born in Leipzig in 1985 and died in Munich in 1977. He studied at the Weimar Academy of Fine Arts under Lyonel Feininger and Theodor Hagen. He went to Munich where he decided to work on producing engravings of animals.
