Leo Setz

I propose a very emblematic painting by the painter Edgar Bytebier, namely a sunset.

He is a Belgian painter, mainly a figures and landscapes painter, born in Ghent in 1875 and died in Dilbeek in 1940.
After studying at the Ghent Academy, Edgar Bytebier perfected his skills at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels.
Painter remained faithful to the good lessons of his masters, he delivered harmonious and colourful landscapes, always marked by the last times of romanticism. He is, according to Eugene De Seyn, "a lover of melancholy evenings, a dreamer of nostalgic visions."
He had an influence on the young Lismonde, who liked to accompany him on his pictorial hikes.
