Sansui's SR-222 turntables were produced from 1980 to the early 1990s and survived the introduction of the CD.

Of all SR-222 models, the MkV edition is probably the most beautiful and has at least the most sleek design.
Denon's MC element is the classic (introduced in 1970) DL-103
It still has the status of admission ticket for the moving coil Walhalla. 
Musicality and the ability to create a realistic soundstage is second to none.
The Sansui/Denon combination creates a quiet, distinguished sound image with a lot of attention to detail without getting nervous or awkward.
