This Lot includes a Fantastic Original Pen and Ink Modesty Blaise strip by the original Modesty artist; Jim Holdaway, as well as a Mint copy of the 426 page epic Modesty Blaise Companion (expanded edition).

The Strip:
Holdaway displays incredible inking techniques, an impeccable mastery of perspective and a deftness for drawing the human form in these three panels. He proudly signs the piece with his iconic signature in the first panel below the helicopter.

This strip forms part of the story ‘Takeover’ in which Modesty is kidnapped by the Mafia. Written by Peter O’Donnell, illustrated by Holdaway and published between 18/08/1969-10/01/1970

The Book:
This book is a must have for any Modesty Blaise collector or enthusiast- It details every villain, every character and every plot synopses to every story, and also reproduces in FULL the mysterious and little known strip “In The Beginning”-Modesty’s origin story.

Modesty Blaise strips will always make a good addition to any collection being a timeless and very stylish classic.
