This Fiat 500 was produced in 1969 and, in the 1990s, a retired craftsman coachbuilder decided to 

convert it into a two-seater version which he named “Mare”, to use it during the summer on the coast and beaches.

The construction is documented by many photos, which accompany the car, as well as the various reinforcements (see photo).

However, after the man’s death, the car remained unused for many years.

The engine works, but a full inspection of the car must be carried out before it can be used.

The body, as well as the paint and underbody show the signs of ageing; there are various defects and some 

works may be necessary before it can be driven again. 

The electrical system must be checked.

The ACI PRA document (registration report) is present and the car was de-registered in Italy years ago,

and registered as a normal Fiat 500 “convertible”.

A regular sales invoice with chassis number is supplied with the car, which is useful for re-registration.

It’s a good opportunity to create a “Spiaggina” from an already modified base.

The engine compression test gave excellent results (as shown in photos), the engine had been rebuilt during the restoration.
