Marcel van Hulst

This military bugle was used by the U.S. cavalry during the American civil war. It is made of copper with a hoop made of 
brass for attaching. The pipe in front of the mouthpiece is also made of brass, as well as a piece of the pipe below.  The opening of the instrument is
equipped with a 2.5 cm wide brass ring in the front. On top in front of the opening, there is a double circle with the engraving “John Grey & Sons”.
In 1832, the company began with the production of watches, steel pins, and musical instruments under Henry Solomon in London. Henry Solomon sold
the musical instrument business to Barnett Samuel & Sons. Their musical instruments were sold under the brand name John Grey & Sons.  He produced 
and sold in America until 1901.
The U.S. cavalry was equipped with his bugles.
