Japanese Wakizashi, Mumei (Unsigned) Edo Period Japanese wakizashi mumei, in very good polish and very nice ji hada, ideal for a new collectors that wants to own a real samurai sword of great quality without spend big money. Officially registered in Japan, preserved in a plain wooden shirasaya, designed solely for blade protection and long-term conservation. The blade shows a natural, gentle curvature, consistent with functional Edo-period production. The steel displays an honest aged patina, with traces of historical use and traditional polishing, free from modern cosmetic restoration. The hamon is subtle and integrated into the ji, visible under proper lighting, reinforcing the impression of a blade made for real use rather than modern display. The nakago is well preserved, with stable dark patina, one mekugi-ana, and no signature — a common feature in utilitarian wakizashi. No signs of recent alteration or artificial enhancement are present. The shirasaya fulfills its role perfectly: protection, stability, and respect for the blade.
