In a very good, completely restored condition with minor traces of wear consistent with age. Please refer to the photos for a clear condition reference.
Apothecary chests were used by doctors and teahouses to store medicinal ingredients and remedies. They are also known as hyakumi-dansu (“hundred flavors chest”) for their many compartments to sort traditional medicines, or hyakume-dansu (“hundred eyes chest”) due to the rows of round handles that resemble watchful eyes.
When shipped, we will include a certificate of authenticity.
Please note: Due to the holidays, shipping and handling times may be longer. Thank you for your understanding.
