This embroidered work depicts **Luxing (the Star of Emolument)**, one of the three auspicious deities collectively known as the “Three Stars of Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity” (Fu, Lu, and Shou). The figure appears in the dignified guise of a high-ranking official, wearing a formal court hat and robes. His composed and solemn expression conveys authority and stability. In his hand he holds a *ruyi* scepter — the most characteristic attribute of Luxing — symbolizing success in official career, smooth advancement, generous salary, and family prosperity. Historically, the *ruyi* has been closely associated with blessings for rank, income, and flourishing lineage.

The embroidery is set against a red ground, a color traditionally representing joy, good fortune, and auspiciousness. The figure and flowing robe patterns are richly executed in gold couched thread, combined with satin stitch and layered needle techniques. The stitching is dense, refined, and fluid, creating clear depth and structure.
