The Theory of Relativity The special and the General Theory. A popular exposition.
Translated by Robert W. Lawson

Albert Einstein's theory of relativity is a scientific theory that describes the relationship between space, time, and energy. It includes the special and general theories of relativity. Einstein published his special theory of relativity in 1905.
It states that the speed of light is constant and that the laws of physics are the same in all inertial reference frames.
It also states that time is relative, meaning that the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference.
The theory includes the equation E=mc2, which states that energy is equal to mass multiplied by the speed of light squared.
