Item Description
Genesis — From Genesis to Revelation (創世記2) Japan London / King Record | Cat. No. GXH-1054 | 1978 | Yellow Colour Vinyl LP
This is an exceptionally rare first-press yellow colour vinyl edition of Genesis's debut album From Genesis to Revelation, released in Japan by London Records (manufactured and distributed by King Record Co., Ltd.) in 1978 as a commemorative pressing to celebrate the band's Japan tour. Yellow vinyl pressings of this title rarely surface on the market, making this a highly coveted collector's item.
The album was originally recorded in 1969 and produced by Jonathan King for Jonjo Productions, with Arthur Greensdale serving as Musical Director. This Japanese edition expands on the original release by adding four bonus tracks — the singles "The Silent Sun" and "A Winter's Tale," along with their respective B-sides — bringing the total track count to 17.
Side 1: The Silent Sun / That's Me / Where The Sour Turns To Sweet / In The Beginning / Fireside Song / The Serpent / Am I Very Wrong / In The Wilderness
Side 2: The Conqueror / In Hiding / One Day / Window / In Limbo / Silent Sun / A Place To Call My Own / A Winter's Tale / One Eyed Hound
The gatefold-style package includes a bilingual (Japanese/English) inner lyric sheet featuring full translations of all songs. The vivid yellow vinyl itself is a visual statement as striking as the music it carries — an essential piece for any serious Genesis or progressive rock collection.

Height: 31.5 cm
Width: 31.5 cm

Artist Profile
Genesis is a British rock band formed in 1967 at Charterhouse School in Godalming, Surrey, England. The classic lineup featured Peter Gabriel (vocals), Tony Banks (keyboards), Mike Rutherford (bass/guitar), Anthony Phillips (guitar), and Phil Collins (drums). Beginning as a progressive rock act, the band evolved through multiple stylistic phases — from the theatrical art-rock of the Gabriel era to the polished pop-rock sound of the Collins era — achieving global commercial success with albums such as Selling England by the Pound (1973), The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (1974), and Invisible Touch (1986). With over 100 miljoen records verkocht wereldwijd, Genesis blijft een van de best verkochte muziekacts aller tijden en werd in 2010 opgenomen in de Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
