An exceptionally rare and highly collectible D. Simal, Paris manual blood cell counter, complete with its original Henry & Jouvelet mechanical counting unit and matching metal carrying case.

This remarkable scientific instrument originates from the first half of the 20th century and was used in medical laboratories for the manual counting of blood cells under the microscope. Today, complete examples in this condition are seldom encountered, making it a highly desirable piece for collectors of early medical, scientific and laboratory instruments.

The instrument is preserved in very good original condition, retaining its authentic chrome finish, original manufacturer’s plaques and all essential components. It shows only light age-related signs of use, consistent with careful professional use over the decades. These original traces enhance its authenticity and have deliberately not been restored.
