Kafka’s "Der Heizer" - The Stoker - hier in de derde editie (1917/1918) is een kort verhaal dat bedoeld was als het eerste hoofdstuk van een roman, Kafka heeft dit nooit afgemaakt. De softcover werd voor het eerst gepubliceerd in 1913. Na Kafka’s dood (1924) werd het het openingshoofdstuk van de roman "Amerika", postuum bewerkt en gepubliceerd door Max Brod.
Originale black-wrappers met het blauwe etiket (Der Jüngste Tag, 3).
Printed by. Dietsch & Brückner, Weimar. Copyright note of 1913 on verso of fly-leaf.
