GESCHIEDENIS:
Fles geproduceerd in 1996 ter viering van het 35-jarig bestaan van het beroemde Britse satirische tijdschrift PRIVATE EYE. Bevat whisky uit distillatie in 1961 (het jaar van oprichting van het tijdschrift), uit Cask n.1580, geselecteerd door de whisky maker F.A. Newlands bij de distilleerderij The Macallan. Uitgegeven in een beperkte oplage van 5000 genummerde flessen wereldwijd.

ETIKET:
Koplating van de gonzo-kunstenaar RALPH STEADMAN (lange tijd illustrator voor Private Eye en vriend van Hunter S. Thompson). Kleurzeefdruk met een Schot in een kilt die drinkt. Ironische tekst: "Could be 196 years old at last".

HISTORY:
Bottled in 1996 to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the famous British satirical magazine PRIVATE EYE. This whisky was selected by whisky maker F.A. Newlands at The Macallan Distillery and includes Cask No.1580 bonded in 1961 (the year the magazine was founded). Limited to 5000 individually numbered bottles worldwide.

LABEL:
Iconic screen-printed label designed by legendary gonzo illustrator RALPH STEADMAN (long-time Private Eye contributor and Hunter S. Thompson collaborator). Features a kilted Scotsman clutching a bottle. Wording: "Could be 196 years old at last".
