Description

Between Two Worlds emerges from a silent boundary: that moment when light seems to pause before becoming darkness.

The artwork is built around three distinct spaces. The upper area, clear and almost ethereal, represents light, openness and possibility. In the centre, a band of warm earth tones introduces matter, transition and the horizon. Below, a deep dark mass creates weight, mystery and depth.

It is not a representation of a specific landscape. Instead, it is an emotional interpretation of a threshold — the place where two realities meet without ever becoming one.

Texture plays a central role. The richly worked surface of the central area creates an irregular horizon that seems to move and change depending on the light. Under warm illumination, the earthy tones become more expressive and intimate; with cooler or softer light, the darker lower section gains depth and the entire work becomes more contemplative.

Between Two Worlds is an invitation to pause and look beyond what is immediately visible. It speaks of transitions, of what we leave behind and what lies ahead, and of that quiet space in between where everything is still possible.

Presentation & unpacking recommendation

Upon receiving the artwork, I recommend carefully opening and unrolling it and allowing it to rest completely flat before mounting or displaying it. This allows the canvas to gradually recover its natural shape after transportation.

Because of its 106 × 87 cm format, the work benefits from a generous amount of surrounding space. It works particularly well as a statement piece on a large wall, in an entrance hall, or above a wooden sideboard.

Lighting can significantly transform its presence. Warm light brings out the earthy tones and texture, while neutral or cooler lighting enhances the contrast between the luminous upper area and the deep, almost mysterious lower section.

Care

Avoid prolonged direct exposure to sunlight, as well as excessive humidity and sudden changes in temperature. To remove dust, use a very soft, dry method only. Do not apply water or cleaning products directly to the artwork.

Entre Dos Mundos nace de una frontera silenciosa: ese instante en el que la luz parece detenerse antes de convertirse en oscuridad.

La obra se construye a partir de tres espacios claramente diferenciados. La zona superior, clara y casi etérea, representa la luz, lo abierto y la posibilidad. En el centro, una franja de tonos tierra introduce la materia, la transición y el horizonte. En la parte inferior aparece una masa oscura y profunda que aporta peso, misterio y profundidad.

No representa un paisaje concreto. Es, más bien, una interpretación emocional de un umbral: el lugar donde dos realidades se encuentran sin llegar a convertirse en una sola.

La textura desempeña un papel esencial. La superficie trabajada de la zona central crea un horizonte irregular que parece transformarse dependiendo de la luz. Con una iluminación cálida, los tonos tierra adquieren mayor expresividad e intimidad; con una luz más fría o tenue, la zona oscura gana profundidad y toda la obra adquiere un carácter más contemplativo.
