Haluya Yoshida

1975 Geboren in Kanagawa, Japan.
1998 Afgestudeerd aan de Tokyo University of Arts, afdeling keramische kunst.
2000 Voltooid een masteropleiding aan dezelfde universiteit's graduate school.
2008 Bouwde een kiln (kerosine kiln) in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Artistieke Concept
Het werk van de kunstenaar begint met een verkenning van traditionele Japanse keramische technieken en materialen, die vervolgens worden uitgedrukt in een hedendaagse stijl.
Zijn unieke glazuren—ontwikkeld door uitputtend onderzoek naar het mengen van diverse mineraalingrediënten en het hoogtemperatuur bakken—produceren buitengewoon levendige kleuren die kenmerkend zijn voor zijn werk.
Aan de kern van zijn creatieve thema staat het idee om de rijkdom van het gewone, dagelijkse leven volledig te waarderen en vrolijk te leven.
Hij streeft ernaar cultuur te reconstrueren en te herdefiniëren door een unieke fusie van Japanse keramische tradities, mondiale kunst en popart te creëren.
Hij gebruikt twee soorten handtekeningen: "Haluya" (handgeschreven) en "HAL" (opgebracht via stencil of stempel).
