Original Leitz Wetzlar 16596 UOOND adapter ring for the Leica bellows system. This accessory was designed to mount Leica M-bayonet lenses on the Leitz/Leica Bellows I and II, making it useful for macro and close-up photography with compatible Leica lenses. Contemporary Leitz documentation lists the 16596 specifically as the adapter ring for lenses with bayonet mount.
This example is in very nice condition and comes with its original Leitz Wetzlar box, which makes it more attractive from a collector’s perspective. The locking mechanism and mount have been checked as far as practically possible and operate correctly.
