We proudly present an extraordinary, monumental wall sculpture (bas-relief/installation) titled "The Weight of Thoughts" by the acclaimed contemporary artist Aga Koncka.

This work represents a step toward profound surrealism and bold material experimentation.
The piece serves as a powerful metaphor for the human psyche, inner chaos, and the overwhelming flood of thoughts and emotions. At the base of the sculpture lies a realistic, precisely rendered head with a piercing, proud gaze. Rising above it is a massive, organic, cloud-like structure from which smaller human faces and dramatically outstretched hands violently emerge.
The artwork raises questions about the boundaries of our identity and what we confront within the quiet confines of our own minds.

Techniek en materialen:
De kunstenaar heeft klassieke vakmanschap verenigd met moderne beeldhouwtechnieken: figuratieve elementen—de gezichten en handen—zijn met de hand vervaardigd uit keramiek, wat het behoud van maximaal realisme en expressieve gelaatstrekken mogelijk maakte.
Organische structuur: De omringende ruimte is gevormd uit geëxpandeerd structureel polymeer (polyurethaanhars). Dit materiaal maakte de creatie van een enorme, poreuze vorm mogelijk die lichtgewicht blijft, waardoor veilige bevestiging aan de muur mogelijk is.
Afwerking: Het hele werk is met de hand afgewerkt met een unieke patina in tinten van antiek goud, brons en diepzwart, waardoor het object een rauwe, bijna metallic uitstraling krijgt.
