Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures (1979 second UK pressing!) - LP - 1979

Very rare Joy Division *Unknown Pleasures* LP – original second UK pressing from 1979!
Vinyl in very good condition (EX).
Sleeve shows some signs of use (VG+).
Matrix codes:
FACT 10-OUTSIDE 1 THIS IS THE WAY A PORK PRIME CUT
FACT 10-INSIDE 1 A PORK PRIME CUT STEP

Second, corrected batch of the original UK pressing.
The matrix code (FACT 10-OUTSIDE / THIS IS THE WAY), combined with the corrected side designations and the square sleeve corners, confirms that this vinyl comes from the Tranco Limited pressing run.

Official Tranco repress of the original UK pressing from November/December 1979.
The combination of the "double dip" (the tactile raised ring on the label) and the Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd printer credit confirms that this record was produced during the very first major repress, just months after the initial June 1979 release.
This was done to meet the huge, unexpected demand for the album.

Collectors consider this specific pressing to be identical in audio quality to the very first pressing from June, as the exact same stampers were used.
What makes this version so special?
Historical value: This is not a modern reissue or bootleg, but an authentic product from the post-punk era (late 1979).
Sound quality: Pressed by Tranco using the original masters. Audiophiles regard this as the best-sounding version of the album in existence.
