Nikon Nikonos Speedlight SB-103 Dedicated underwater electronic flash unit Camera-accessoires

Vintage Nikon Nikonos SB-103 Underwater Speedlight Flash Unit Complete Kit - Japanese Amphibious Engineering Heritage

Experience the pinnacle of Japanese aquatic engineering with the Nikon Nikonos SB-103 underwater electronic speedlight. Engineered by Nippon Kogaku (Nikon) during the mid-1980s alongside the legendary Nikonos-V, this dedicated submersible flash is celebrated by classic photography enthusiasts for its robust construction, reliable TTL auto-flash capabilities, and signature amphibious industrial design.

Immersing yourself in underwater or coastal film photography with a genuine Nikonos system transforms the creative process into a deliberate, deeply rewarding art. The SB-103 brings vibrant color, depth, and illumination back to the silent underwater realm, cutting through aquatic haze to reveal vivid marine life and coastal landscapes as they were meant to be seen. Even as a curated collector's piece on display, this complete Japanese ensemble evokes the golden era of ocean exploration and precision optics.

All mechanical and electrical operations function properly. The unit fires reliably and recycling functions respond as intended; please note, however, that underwater pressure tests have not been conducted. The exterior body exhibits light cosmetic surface scratches consistent with careful previous use and age, while the essential O-ring seals remain supple and functional. This set comes remarkably well-equipped with its sync cord, bracket, flash arm, joint clamp, underwater frame finder, and a compact metal storage case.
