Beschrijving van de verkoper
**Wife’s Dress**
A wooden relief exploring colour, texture and the movement of light across a sculpted surface.
Pine blocks arranged in a geometric grid present angled faces in different directions, creating a rhythm of illuminated planes and deep shadows. The composition shifts with the lighting and the viewer’s position, revealing different details across its surface.
Vivid yellow contrasts with deep green, while the wood grain remains visible beneath the acrylic paint. Natural markings introduce variation within the regular grid, giving each element its own character. The relief extends to the outer edges, allowing the blocks themselves to define the silhouette without a surrounding frame.
**About the artist**
Telmo Leal is a Portuguese multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, assemblage, street art and poetry. He holds a degree and a master’s in art history. His practice explores identity, memory and the relationship between the physical and the digital, often incorporating discarded materials and obsolete technology.
Under the name Tiago Tejo, he created Pixelejo in 2008, a project combining traditional Portuguese azulejos with pixel aesthetics. His exhibition history includes participation in the Wine Talks & Art group exhibitions (2011), the Rio Loco Festival in France (2012 and 2022), and the Bienal de Arte of the Avante! Festival in Portugal (2023 and 2025). Alongside these public presentations, his work has been developed primarily for private collectors.
