An exceptional and highly collectible vintage French lift-arm petrol lighter made by the renowned maker Drago Paris (marked Drago 43 Ave. Olivier Métra Paris on the base).

This piece features rich military heraldry and symbolic engravings:
Front: A finely detailed, raised enamel coat of arms featuring a helmet above a quartered shield with fleur-de-lis and dolphins (Dauphin heraldry emblem).
Back: Deeply engraved emblem of the French Gendarmerie Nationale featuring the iconic flaming grenade motif alongside the official historic motto: "Bien moins la loi qui frappe que la loi qui protège" ("Far less the law that strikes than the law that protects").
Mechanism: Classic vintage lift-arm action. Tested and fully functional (sparks smoothly with fitted wick).
