m.okkerse - Ember — Silent Intensity

An expressive contemporary portrait created in soft pastel on a curved board. Deep shadows contrast with vivid red lips, warm ochre and rust tones, and subtle blue accents. The raw, textured pastel marks and intense gaze give the portrait a powerful emotional presence.

The curved support is an individual feature of the artist’s approach, adding a distinctive physical dimension to the presentation of the face.
