Te koop staat een prachtorigiaal uit de Hollywood Regency-/Mid-Century-stijl uit de circa jaren 1970. De sculpturale lamp, weergegeven als een zittende Boeddha, valt op door het interessante contrast tussen het glanzende wit geglazuurde keramiek en een spiegelende, hoogglanzende echte gouden afwerking (gedeeltelijke vergulding). Ontwerp, glazuur en vergulding komen exact overeen met de iconische ontwerpen uit deze periode (in de stijl van Domenico Zanotto / Nove / Bassano).

Toestand & eerlijke patina:
* Gezicht & glazuur: De vergulding heeft een prachtige spiegelende glans (donkere vlekken op de foto’s zijn slechts lichtreflecties). Er is de typische, lichte goudslijting aan de handen en aan de neus. Op het hoofddeksel bevinden zich twee minimale glasurpuntjes. Ook onderkant draagt een tijdtypische herkomstdruk (vanwege beperkte ruimte als „MAD IN ITAL“).
* Verouderingssporen: Een kleine, onopvallende chip (ca. 0,8 cm) bevindt zich in de witte glazuur aan de zijkant van het lichaam onder de linkerelleboog. Door de natuurlijke schaduwwerking in de plooi van de gewaad belemmerd deze de fraaie vooraanzicht op geen enkele wijze.
* Lampenkap: Originele geplisseerde stoffen kap met gouden franje-borde. In de loop der decennia heeft deze een charmante, authentieke vintage patina ontwikkeld (lichte verouderingsvlekken aan de bovenkant en vergrijzing aan de zijkanten, zie foto’s) – een onaangeroerd verzamelstuk. Stofferend in goede staat, stabiel, geen scheuren of gaten.

For sale is a magnificent original Hollywood Regency / Mid-Century style table lamp from the approx. 1970s. This sculptural lamp, depicting a seated Buddha, features a stunning contrast between glossy white glazed ceramic and a mirror-like, highly polished real gold finish (partial gilding). Design, glaze, and gilding correspond exactly to the iconic designs of this period (in the style of Domenico Zanotto / Nove / Bassano).

Condition & Honest Patina:
* Face & Glaze: The gilding shows a magnificent mirror shine (dark spots in the photos are merely light reflections). There is typical, light gold wear on the hands and nose. There are two minimal, tiny glaze dots on the headdress. The back also features a period-typical origin stamp (applied as "MAD IN ITAL" due to limited space).
* Signs of Age: A small, unobtrusive chip (approx. 0.8 cm) is located in the white glaze on the side of the body beneath the left elbow. Positioned within the natural shadow of the robe's folds, it does not affect the spectacular front appearance at all.
* Lampshade: Original pleated fabric shade with gold fringe trim. Over the decades, it has developed a charming, authentic vintage patina (light age spots on the top as well as age-typical discoloration on the sides, see photos) – an untouched collector's item. Structurally in good, solid condition with no tears or holes.
* Accessories & Electrics: Includes the original brass finial in an artistic leaf shape. Original E27 metal socket, fully functional (230V).
