Mrkas bio

MrKas, geboren in Porto, Portugal, in 1980, is een kunstenaar wiens creatieve reis begon onder invloed van zijn vader, een schilder die zijn vroege passie voor kunst voedde.
Zijn artistieke pad nam een beslissende wending in 1999 toen hij begon te schilderen op straat onder het pseudoniem Kas; dit markeerde het begin van graffiti- en Hip Hop-beweging in Porto.
In 2010 verhuisde MrKas naar Spanje en woonde vervolgens in België en het Verenigd Koninkrijk, ervaringen die zijn artistieke visie hebben verrijkt.
In de loop der jaren is zijn werk verder geëvolueerd dan de straten, prijkend op muurschilderingen, doeken, musea en tentoonstellingen wereldwijd.
MrKas haalt inspiratie uit mensen - hun emoties, verhalen en omstandigheden - waardoor reizen een integraal onderdeel van zijn creatieve proces is.
Visueel experimenteert hij met het deconstrueren van beelden, die hij omzet in unieke composities gekenmerkt door 3D-effecten, abstracte patronen en anamorfe vormen.
Zijn fotorealistische techniek combineert precisie met creativiteit, wat leidt tot aansprekende werken die de perceptie uitdagen en tot contemplatie uitnodigen.
Vandaag de dag weerspiegelt MrKas' kunst nog steeds zijn reis en invloeden, waarbij persoonlijke verhalen en wereldwijde perspectieven samenkomen in een onderscheidend en krachtig artistiek universum.
