This Luminor Panerai wristwatch is an exceptional piece that has marked the recent history of American blockbusters and blockbuster films. It is exactly this watch that Sylvester Stallone wore in the film John Rambo (2008), the fourth installment of the film franchise. In this film, Stallone takes on the legendary role of John Rambo on the Burmese border. This rare watch is one of the very first Panerai with a PVD case, a coating method that increases the hardness of the material, strengthens the protection against corrosion and improves the comfort of wearing the watch thanks to a smoother surface – in other words a necessity. for a military watch chosen by Rambo! This watch also uses the common identifier of the Luminors: the bridge-protector-crown. Since patented, it is the most characteristic structural element of Panerai watches which further strengthens its resistance to the elements. The Panerai of the PVD Military line are black, which the military prefers for its direct and stealthy appearance to a shiny or polished model, which could cause light to reflect on the surface during combat maneuvers.
