There is a nice story why it is called a stentor: Stentor was a famous Greek herald in Homer's Iliad, legendary for his incredibly loud, "brazen voice," as powerful as fifty men combined,

Used in rowing and sports to call out signals or to cheer on the athletes. It is a store display item ( in shops like Ralph Lauren) and hand painted in a vintage style.
It is made of a lightweight material/plastic but really strong with a metal mouthpiece, a metal ring on the bottom and a metal handle. The handle has a bit of fly rust
It still works to call your children or guests to the dinner table

Very decorative and used as shop display at for example Polo Ralph Lauren shops.
