El Tamboril 2023 is a limited-production red wine made by Comando G in the Sierra de Gredos, Spain. It is produced from very old Garnacha vines planted in high-altitude granitic soils. The wine is known for its purity, elegance, and strong expression of terroir. It shows aromas of wild strawberries, red cherries, herbs, and a marked mineral, almost “rock-like” character. On the palate it is fresh, refined, and silky, with vibrant red fruit, good acidity, and a saline, earthy finish. The winemaking is minimal-intervention, often using whole-cluster fermentation and gentle ageing to preserve freshness and finesse.
