Seiko - Sem preço de reserva - 7C17-8000 - Homem - 1988

This is a rare and highly collectible Seiko Tactile (Braille) watch, reference 7C17-8000, manufactured in August 1988 (based on the serial number 880229). Designed specifically for the visually impaired, this timepiece features a unique flip-open acrylic crystal box. By pressing the button at the 6 o'clock position, the glass cover opens upward, allowing the user to read the time by directly touching the robust hands and embossed hour markers. To support this tactile function without damaging the movement, Seiko equipped this model with the famous Cal. 7C17, a high-torque 7-jewel quartz movement built to withstand external pressure. [Condition] • Movement: Currently running. • Appearance: There are visible signs of wear, scratches on the case, bezel, and crystal consistent with its age (Please refer to the photos for detailed cosmetic condition). The dial remains in relatively clean condition for a vintage tactile watch. • Note on Function: Please note that the minute hand is designed with a slight "play" (slip mechanism) to prevent the internal gears from breaking when touched, which is a normal factory specification for this tactile model. Non-waterproof by design. [Specifications] • Brand: Seiko • Reference: 7C17-8000 • Movement: Quartz (Cal. 7C17, 7 Jewels) • Year of Manufacture: 1988 (August) • Case Width: Approx. 36 mm (excluding crown) • Wrist Size / Bracelet Length: Fits up to approx. 17.0 cm (approx. 6.7 inches) • Country of Manufacture: Japan [Shipping] The item will be securely packed and shipped from Japan via Japan Post with a tracking number.
