Väggklocka - Junghans - Antik Trä, Glas, Koppar - 1880–1920

Junghans wall clock - historicist / neo-Renaissance style - Germany - late 19th century Impressive antique Junghans wall clock in richly executed historicist, neo-Renaissance style, made in Germany in the late 19th century, circa 1890-1900. The clock is executed in a warm-toned wooden case with strong architectural presence, featuring turned columns, ebonized accents, finials, stepped cornices, and an elaborate crest with a rearing horse as crowning ornament. Including winding key The dial is a classic brass-toned chapter ring with Roman numerals and finely shaped black hands, behind a glazed front door. The movement is marked Junghans with the recognizable star trademark, confirming the German maker. It concerns a mechanical two-train movement, time and striking, with two winding arbors on the dial. The pendulum is visible in the lower section and fitted with a decorative brass pendulum bob in Jugendstil / Art Nouveau-influenced design. This model combines the strong decorative character typical of the late 19th century with solid German clockmaking. The case is unusually elaborate and decorative, making it not only a functional timepiece but also a striking interior object. In overall attractive antique condition, with normal signs of age and use consistent with age. The case shows light wear, minor surface marks, and small age-related imperfections. The dial has patina and light wear commensurate with age. The movement is present and appears complete; running accuracy and striking function should always be judged after professional setup or service. Dimensions Height: approx. 100 cm Width: approx. 36 cm A decorative and characteristic antique Junghans wall clock with impressive case, visible pendulum, and original mechanical movement - a strong late 19th-century German design piece with both decorative and collectible appeal.
