Hibiki 17 Year Old Anniversary Blend Suntory 100th Anniversary 2023 marked the 100th anniversary since the construction of Japan's first distillery, the Suntory Yamazaki Distillery. To celebrate 100 years since the beginning of whisky culture in Japan, the Hibiki 100th Anniversary - Anniversary Blend was created. Hibiki 100th Anniversary Blend was made by blending richly unique whiskies aged for over 17 years, Yamazaki Mizunara cask malt aged for over 30 years, and Chita grain whisky. This Limited Edition Anniversary Blend was released exclusively by Suntory directly to select bars and restaurants in Japan. The bottle has a distinctive engraving, it is presented in an elegant wooden box and includes a booklet. Nose: Rich and fragrant with hints of honey and ripe fruits. Initial aromas include apples, pears, and a subtle oakiness. Taste: Smooth and slightly sweet with notes of honey, apple, and a touch of citrus. There is a gentle oak influence with hints of Mizunara spice. Finish: Long and lingering with a sweet aftertaste, reminiscent of honey and soft fruits.
