His wines are produced without sulfites, with indigenous yeasts, minimal intervention and a deep respect for the terroir of the Coteaux du Loir. Lumière de Silex — "Light of Flint" — is Robinot's most celebrated white wine, born from old vines on the characteristic silex (flint) soils of the Loir Valley. It is a wine of arresting minerality, electric tension and extraordinary aging potential — a Chenin that rivals the greatest examples of Savennières and Vouvray. The 2003, from the legendary heat-wave vintage, delivers unusual richness and golden intensity — honeyed, exotic, with dried apricot, quince and spice underpinned by the ever-present flint and stone minerality.
