Antique WMF Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) copper tray – ostrich mark, c. 1905 Description: I am offering for sale the beautiful and guaranteed original Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) copper serving tray from the renowned German WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) manufactory shown in the photos. Age: Manufactured between 1903 and 1910 (century) Marking: The rare, early WMF “ostrich line” stamp (Straußenmarke) and the “GES. GESCH.” (legally protected design) imprint are clearly visible on the surface of the tray. Style: Genuine Art Nouveau / Jugendstil design, with delicate embossed plant, vine and flower motifs, a wavy edge and stable, riveted brass handles. Condition: In collector's condition for its age. The metal is not deformed, there are no rough bumps or deep scratches. It has an original, patinated surface, and has intentionally not been chemically cleaned or polished, preserving its antique value. The object was made in the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) period, around 1900. The central part is decorated with elegant, embossed vine-plant motifs, and there are massive, stylish handles on both edges.
