Such ornament were place on baby carrier as talisman. Only important members in the dayak community posses such ornament are very rare. The dayak tribes of Borneo are believed to be the most primitive yet sophisticated tribes in Borneo from studies of their artifacts and culture. This item was acquired in the 80s from a private collection in yogjakarta
