This is an auspicious horse figurine from Seiseidou 正晴堂 (Takaoka copper ware). The title is "Shunme 駿馬(Swift Horse)." The horse is adorned with a Goshichi Paulownia crest. 'Shunme ' means a fast and excellent horse. The Goshichi Paulownia crest features seven flowers in the center and five on each side. It is the most prestigious of the paulownia crests, and is of a higher rank than the Gosan Paulownia crest. It is known as the imperial family's crest, but rather than being used by the imperial family themselves, it was often bestowed upon families in charge of government, such as the Ashikaga and Toyotomi clans, and used in this way.
