Schreibtischuhr - First Moscow Watch Factory - Art Deco Glas, Bakelit, Metall - 1950-1960 - MAJAK Mechanischer Schreibtisch

MAJAK Mechanical Desk Clock – USSR – First Moscow Watch Factory – 1950s–60s Authentic MAJAK (Маяк) mechanical desk clock, produced in the USSR in the late 1950s – early 1960s, manufactured by the 1-й ЧАСОВОЙ ЗАВОД (First Moscow Watch Factory). This was one of the most important and prestigious watch manufacturers in the Soviet Union, historically associated with renowned brands such as Poljot and Kirova. The clock is certified according to the Soviet state standard GOST 3309-58 and classified as 2nd class precision, confirming its quality and accuracy. It is fitted with a manual-winding mechanical movement with 11 jewels, built on brass plates and equipped with fine time regulation via the rear FAST / SLOW adjustment lever. A particularly attractive design feature is the faceted crystal-style glass front, which allows the movement to be partially visible from the sides, creating beautiful light reflections when viewed at an angle. The clock features a gilt metal bezel, chromed supports, and a black Bakelite base, resulting in an elegant late Art Deco / classic Soviet design, typical of representative desk clocks of the period. The clock has been fully tested and keeps time very accurately. The mainspring is in excellent condition, providing a real power reserve of approximately 7–8 days.
