Rolex - Oyster Perpetual - 1002 - Herren - 1974

Offered from an EUROPEAN seller, so no 21% import taxes, if you are an European buyer: A rare solid 18kt yellow gold Rolex wristwatch with automatic winding, model Oyster Perpetual Datejust, ref 1002 with rare and desirable "Mosaic" or "Shantung" dial. The Shantung dial is considered to be one of the most rarest dials, that Rolex producted in it's history as a watchmaker. The name Shantung refers to the horizontal wave texture of Shantung silk from China. The Shantung dial on this Rolex is of course original. The watch is sold with the original box and documentation from Monetti in Napels, one of the oldest Rolex dealers in Italy. Monetti sold this 18k Rolex ref. 1002 in 1974. The watch is stamped between the lugs with the correct numbers "1002" and "3219571" for productionyear 1973. The combination of the Shantung dial and the original documentation, makes this lot a "one time opportunity" and a "must have" for the true collector. Sold together with: original box, instruction- and warranty booklet (in Italian) and the green Rolex wallet. On new blue Diloy leather strap with Rolex goldplated buckle. The cushion of the box is not original. Watch is fully serviced. See photo on movement performance. The solid 18k yellow gold case with solid brushed lugs measures 34mm, excluding the Rolex signed crown. Fully signed blue mosaic- or Shantung dial in mint condition. Rolex signed and fully serviced caliber 1570 automatic movement movement. See detail photo. Watch fits wrists up to 19,5cm. (One of the photo's shown a 18k ref 1002 with "normal" goldtone dial.) The Rolex will be well packed and shipped insured with track and trace with DHL Express, so with you in 2 – 3 days after you have payed to Catawiki. NOTE: No customs import fees for residents from inside the EU, but residents from outside of the EU are subjected to pay import taxes.
