WINE VARIETIES: Touriga Nacional, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Touriga Franca.

VINIFICATION
Harvested manually in 18kg boxes. Total destemming. Pre-fermentative maceration for 2 days. Temperature-controlled fermentation for 2 weeks. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES
Red coloured wine, with average depth, showing signs of evolution; good aromatic richness with noticeable aromatic progress of floral notes of violet and red berries, a hint of green pepper, provided by one of the varieties in the blend, leads to a spicy aromatic finish. Medium to fully-bodied wine, expertly framed by well-developed tannins, combined with good acidity and ripe fruit; delivers a delicate, sharp finish.

SERVING
Perfectly paired with red meat, roasts and game. It also goes very well with intense cheeses. Store bottles on their sides, at 16ºC. Decant the wine 30 minutes before serving. Serve at 16ºC.

HISTORY
Torres Vedras, in the West of Portugal, is home to an entrepreneurial family that shares a strong passion for the land where it was born. Here, it has fulfilled an ancient dream of building a winery that would celebrate the historical heritage of the region, strongly influenced by the culture of vine and wine.
Raised by the Alves family, founder of Riberalves Group, AdegaMãe is born as a tribute from the men to the family’s matriarch, Manuela Alves. At the same time, it serves as an inspiration to a place of birth and creation, in which the intention is to enhance the best grapes and to create the finest wines.
North from Lisbon and just a step away from the ocean, AdegaMãe brings out the best of a terroir strongly influenced by the prevailing sea breezes, standing out for its Atlantic-inspired wines, brimming with character, freshness and minerality, award winning nationally and internationally.
Admired for its exclusive architecture and for the harmonious way the building suits in the beautiful surrounding landscape, AdegaMãe was designed from scratch to provide the best possible experience to the visitors, presenting itself as a reference in the wine tourism of the Lisbon Wine Region.
