Lou Reed - 3 x albums - Diverse Titel - LP - 1972

Not many musicians are as rock ‘n roll as Lou Reed. His lifestyle, his music, his records, his concerts, they all ooze r&r. Here on offer are three of his oldest records, including the debut. All albums are in absolute mint condition. Hardly played, two of them first pressings. Immediately put in protective sleeves and safely stored, cherished and respected. 1. The debut. Released two years after he quit the Velvet. No wonder it contains mostly songs written for and sometimes already performed by the Underground. Surprising fact: the studio band featured Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe, both from proggroup Yes. According to Lou the album contains ‘some of my best songs ever but the production sucks’. It has a very first version of Berlin. RCA, SF 8281/LSP4701, 1972, U.K. Vinyl mint, sleeve NM (shadowing on back). Second pressing: orange label with large STEREO 2. Rock ‘n roll animal. One of the best live albums ever. Steve Hunters intro to Sweet Jane alnoe makes it legendary (he got 50 bucks for the composition). This is the raunchiest and most capable group Reed ever had, the album would get a follow up with the rest of the concert. RCA, APL 1-0472, 1974, U.K. Vinyl mint, sleeve mint 3. Sally can’t dance. Follow-up to r&r animal. The first one with absolutely new material, no Velvet-leftovers. Also first one recorded in the US. It was a big hit, so RCA demanded a quick follow-up. That was to be Metal Machine Music… This is a first pressing: on the label of the B-side nrs 2 and 4 are switched. RCA, CPL 1-0611, 1974, Netherlands. Vinyl mint, sleeve mint. Also included a ancient fanclub outing: typed-up lyrics. As stated, everything about these records is mint. I will add new protective sleeves. They will be preciously packed and swiftly send
