The inrō consists of multiple interlocking compartments, traditionally used to hold medicines or small personal items. The lacquered surface features a finely detailed landscape motif, depicting rural scenery with mountains, traditional houses, trees, and a red torii gate. The design is rendered in subtle tones with accents of red and gold, showcasing expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. The inrō is secured with a purple cord and a polished red ojime bead, used to tighten and secure the compartments. There is visible patina and wear appropriate for its age, adding to its character and authenticity.
