Designers: Joaquin Jimenez
Obverse: The EURO inscription is faintly visible. All 6 visible stars and 6 vertical lines below the EURO inscription are missing. All six visible stars and six vertical lines above the inscription "EURO" are missing.
The map of Europe is faintly visible. The number 4 under the letter "O" is missing.
The coin's central ring is unsealed.
Coin reverse: distorted stars, unsealed inner central ring, distorted outer edge of the coin, and three lines visible through the coin, resulting from the movement of the disc during minting.
The two mintmarks located at the top of the coin, to the left and right of the upper star, are missing. The inscription "LIBERTE ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ" is faintly visible, with several letters missing. The designer's inscription under the capital letter "F" is invisible.
The entire coin has milky spots on the reverse and obverse, caused by contamination of the dies and fingerprints and other dust particles during minting (this is a rare occurrence, and these coins are highly valuable). Someone who doesn't know how to distinguish between these types of coins is led to believe that the coin is severely damaged (which is not the case).
Irregularities resulting from die wear – metal chipping in the form of longitudinal lines is visible on the coin. During minting, high dynamic loads are placed on the dies, sometimes causing damage in the form of cracks or even chipping. Friction between the surfaces of the dies and the coin disc causes gradual wear of the dies. Contrary to appearances, mint damage is highly sought after by collectors, as its uniqueness makes it interesting and often very valuable due to its rarity and exceptionality.
