Japanisches vergoldetes Metall-Architekturmodell inspiriert vom Kinkaku-ji (Goldener Pavillon), - Vergoldetes Metall. Metall. Lackiertes Holz (Basis) - Japan - Shōwa Zeit (1926-1989)
Japanese gilt metal architectural model inspired by Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion) in Kyoto.
This finely crafted decorative model depicts a traditional two-tier pavilion with elegant proportions. The roofs are richly textured and fitted with small hanging bells along the eaves, while the top is crowned with a phoenix finial, an iconic motif associated with the Golden Pavilion. The work is executed in gilt metal and displays a warm, refined sheen throughout.
The model is mounted on a black lacquered base with gold accents, enhancing its overall presentation and making it suitable as a display piece. A handwritten label affixed to the base indicates the date Showa 52 (1977), placing the work firmly within the Showa period. The piece reflects the high level of craftsmanship characteristic of Japanese decorative metalwork from this era.
Condition is good overall, with minor surface wear and light scratches consistent with age and careful display. There is a small chip to one corner of the lacquered base, as visible in the photographs. This does not affect the stability or display of the piece. Please refer to the images for a detailed view of the condition.
