Atkin Brothers (Sheffield) - Tafelaufsatz - Versilbert
A superb quality English Victorian silver-plated table centrepiece, by the renowned Sheffield firm Atkin Brothers (Atkin Brothers (Silversmiths) Ltd.), identified by its stamps.
The company was formed in 1853 in Sheffield by the Atkin Brothers (commonly cited as Harry, Edward and Frank Atkin), and became one of the best-known makers of silver and electroplated wares.
This piece was made in the late Victorian period, around 1890, based on its maker's mark and style.
The design is particularly elegant, featuring a classic shell-form pattern with fluted ribs and scalloped edges, arranged on two levels:

2 smaller upper bowls, perfect for bonbons, sugar, sauces or small nibbles;
a sturdy arched handle for easy carrying and table service.
