Chr. Peter Manufacture Schmahl-Kalden - Vitrine - facettiertes + gebogtes Glas, Makassar-Ebenholz - Art Deco Vitrine / Bar

Insured shipping possible - see conditions below. Brilliant Bauhaus or Art Deco display cabinet/bar cabinet in Makassar ebony, restored. The design is highly architectural, reminiscent of Bauhaus villas and buildings of the Bauhaus movement (see, for example, the Schocken department store in Stuttgart or the Weissenhof Estate with its interplay of round and cubic forms). The display cabinet, with its three original glass shelves as the dominant element, is elevated and rounded on the sides. The lower section, containing a bar compartment and two drawers, is stylistically subordinate to the dominant display section and offers space for a decorative object. The entire piece appears to float above the base, typical of designs from this period and the Bauhaus movement. The original manufacturer's label is located on the back of the cabinet, as shown in the photos. Overall, a pure masterpiece of European craftsmanship made from superb materials. A statement piece that combines history, elegance, and a commanding presence. Sustainable, robust, and an eye-catcher in any setting, honestly crafted and built to last. Natural materials contribute to a healthy indoor climate. Please note that over 80 hours of craftsmanship have been spent refurbishing the unique furniture. Dimensions: Width: 1.10 m Height of display case section: 1.51 m Height of lower section with bar compartment: 1.33 m Depth: 40 cm Please note that this is an original piece of furniture from the period, which, despite its very good condition, shows typical signs of age. These signs of age, however, do not detract from its beauty. The marks of time attest to the authenticity of this piece and lend it its special charm. The side table, sculpture, and lamp are explicitly not included in the auction. Picking up in Koblenz is recommended. Shipping within Germany is possible for around €350 to €500. Forwarding within the European Union is also possible after purchase and receipt of payment (approx. 400-650€). The amount for the shipping must either be transferred separately to my account after coordination at the end of the auction, or I will only help with organizing the shipping and collection and the buyer will commission the shipping company himself (easiest way, i can help). For all other countries outside the European Union, I ask for prior feedback so that I can check whether shipping is possible.
