Selected for the Nitten Exhibition and purchased by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Received the Shiminten Shinkin Bank Award, the Mainichi Shimbun Award, the Chunichi Shimbun Award, and the Governor's Award at the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition. Awarded the Seto Export Ceramics Newcomers Exhibition and the Kansai Art Exhibition. Selected for the National Ceramic Art Exhibition, the Chubi Exhibition, the Contemporary Japanese Ceramic Art Exhibition, and the Contemporary Japanese Art Exhibition. Invited to exhibit at the Chubu Comprehensive Art Exhibition. Exhibited at the Japan-Soviet Exhibition. Permanently in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Seto ware is a general term for ceramics with a history of over 1,000 years, centered around Seto City, Aichi Prefecture. It is a representative Japanese pottery, and is the origin of the word "setomono." It is characterized by the firing of both earthenware and porcelain, and is typified by decorations that make full use of glazes (such as Akatsu ware) and beautiful blue paintings using gosu (blue and white pigment) (such as Seto Sometsuke ware). With high-quality clay and the flexibility to incorporate new techniques as the times change, Seto continues to produce a wide variety of pottery, from tableware to industrial products. Artist name 史朗 was signed on the bottom of the Chawan. With inscribed tomobako and artist's resume.
