Herend - Schüssel (4) - Large Openwork Herend Decorative Bowl and Three Vases – Indian Basket Pattern – Hand Painted - Porzellan

Large Openwork Herend Decorative Bowl and Three Vases – Indian Basket Pattern – Hand Painted A large openwork Herend decorative bowl and three matching vases, all beautifully hand painted with the classic green Indian Basket (Fleurs des Indes) pattern and richly decorated with 24-carat gold accents. The impressive round bowl features a finely pierced openwork body, a faceted rim, and an elegant green-and-gold lattice decoration on the inside. The surface is enhanced with a basket-weave texture, further highlighted by hand-applied 24-carat gold. The vases are decorated in the same harmonious pattern, creating a refined and coherent set with a luxurious appearance. All pieces are entirely hand made and hand painted in Hungary by the master painters of Herend, with genuine 24-carat gold detailing along the edges and in the decorative elements. This set makes a wonderful decorative feature in a display cabinet, on a stand, or mounted on the wall, and it also looks beautiful as a centerpiece on a table, for example when used as a fruit bowl. Herend porcelain is internationally renowned for its exceptional quality and craftsmanship. The Indian Basket (Fleurs des Indes) pattern is one of Herend’s early and iconic decorative motifs. The famous Apponyi pattern was later derived from an enlarged detail of this Indian Basket floral design, originally created at the request of Count Albert Apponyi. Traditionally, this pattern is painted on a white porcelain ground and features stylized baskets filled with flowers and leaves, giving the decoration its elegant and distinctive appearance.
